Why This Course? There are common elements within the three groups. This workshop covers those similarities, plus the highlights of each unique template. This class is structured as a customizable framework, with the workshop facilitator preparing for the path and phases to be discussed by “plugging in” the templates to cover, selecting which portions should have the major emphasis, and smoothing the content for the intended audience.
|
| Identify the different paths in THE Guide, and the templates available for each. | |
| Discuss the purpose of the templates, and how they work with other Guide resources; describe the differences between the Deliverable, Working and Project templates. | |
| Describe the process of navigation, use and tricks of working with the templates. | |
| For the templates of a specific path and phase, tour, then apply them to document phase work. | |
| Discuss the roles that should be involved with completing the work reflected in the templates. | |
| Plan the needed reviews of the phase results, identifying the outputs to review, and the roles of the reviewers. | |
| Use the phase-end checklist to verify that the most important phase results are complete. |
Audience
The target audience for this workshop is business and Information Technology team members who participate in activities of medium or larger projects using THE Guide. Note
This workshop works especially well when presented by your in-house facilitators. In that delivery mode, it can be presented in several 2-hour sessions, one for each Template you wish to cover. Contact us for more information about our licensing and certification process.
