Why This Course? The purpose of this one-day session is to provide practical application of the paths, methods, templates, references and tools of THE Guide for those who can benefit from the most: the team members who produce the work that THE Guide enhances and enables.

| Introduce the purpose of and the components of THE Guide. | |
| Describe how to use THE Guide Method as a tool to complete daily work. | |
| Identify the alternative project Paths, with their required deliverables and support templates. | |
| Describe the key decision-points in a project, and the Basic 9 Results: the most important products of any project. | |
| For the Medium Component Design path, use pages from The Online Guide to learn more about activity assignments and outputs. | |
| Use the Working Paper and Deliverable Templates to produce better project results. | |
| Explore the Project Management Templates, such as the Quality Log and Issue Log for their features and project usefulness. | |
| Discuss the roles and responsibilities of all participants in a well-managed project. Describe the ideal team member in a Guide project. |
Audience
The target audience for this learning experience is Information Technology team members of medium or larger projects using THE Guide.
