Principal's Bio: Stacy Goff, IPMA Level-D®, PMP®
STACY A. GOFF, the PM Per4mance™ Coach, is President of ProjectExperts, a US-based Project and Program Management consulting and Learning Experience company. Mr. Goff's professional affiliations include serving as a founder and current President of asapm®, the American Society for the Advancement of Project Management. He is also serving as the Vice President of Marketing for IPMA, the International Project Management Association.
A PM practitioner since 1970 and project and program management consultant since 1982, his PM Consulting services focus upon improving Project Manager and Stakeholder PM Competence, and project performnace. His methods improve project responsiveness and effectiveness for all types of organizations, including engineering, information technology, government, consultancies, and general management.
An insightful consultant and dynamic speaker, Mr. Goff speaks at Congresses and major industry events. He presents Learning experiences and overviews of great interest to Executives, Mnagers, Project Managers, project leaders, technical staff, and individual contributors. He leverages his experience by licensing his workshop materials, tools and methodologies to other consultancies, and to government agencies and companies on six continents.
In addition to the asapm and IPMA not-for-profit contributions mentioned above, Goff is a long-time member and certified Project
Management Professional (PMP®) with the Project Management Institute (PMI®). By the year 2000, he had introduced over 45,000 pm practitioners to PMI. He participated in the project to develop PMI’s recently-published Project Manager Competency Development Framework, 2nd Edition, and wrote Chapter 9, Visions for the PM Software Industry, for PMI's recently-published book, Project Management Circa 2025.
Goff also co-authored a 50 page chapter on Project Communication in IPMA-Germany's extended National Competence Baseline, a four-volume set of references used in the advanced, competence-based assessment of project and program managers in Germany. Used as a textbook in Universities, and as the background for IPMA's advanced assessments, the books are essential for all practitioners.
He has co-authored and published THE Guide, an automated project management methodology for
Information Technology projects, KnowRisk®, an industry-changing risk management process and framework, MinProj®, an enterprise-wide Business Improvement and Project Management methodology, and Co-Pilot: Small Project Guide®, a universal small project management approach. A prolific writer, his articles appear on this ProjectExperts website, and on the asapm.org website. They have been translated and re-published Worldwide, with recent examples in Poland, Russia, Italy, India and China.
